In December, the Early Childhood Alliance released its end of year 2016 summary. The one-page report highlights the work of the Alliance and looks ahead to the strategic priorities for 2017. During 2016, the ECA was focused on launching the committee structure, identifying community indicators for each committee and developing strategic priorities for each committee’s work. The year’s work culminated in the 2016 Strategic Plan released in November. Looking ahead to 2017, the ECA will launch the Talking is Teaching initiative, promote comprehensive developmental screening and provide forums for early childhood stakeholders to participate in learning opportunities. The ECA will continue to advance an early childhood advocacy agenda with State and Federal elected officials in 2017. If you would like to join in the ECA’s work, contact us at ecaonondaga@gmail.com.
